Skype is the application for video chats and audio calls. It was of the first such apps on the market that was released 16 years ago, in August 2003. Initially, Skype was developed by two Estonian programmers Priit Kasesalu and Jaan Tallinn. Today, the platform is owned by Microsoft. In March 2020 the company announced that Skype serves about 100 million people every month, 40 million of them use the platform on a daily basis.
